VPQ Advogados and Cabo Verde TradeInvest (Agência de Promoção de Investimento e Exportação de Cabo Verde, I.P) signed last Thursday a Strategic Partnership Agreement, which aims to promote close collaboration between the parties in all matters relating to investment, including foreign and domestic investment.
Cape Verde TradeInvest is the public institute responsible for investment promotion and it is responsible, inter alia, for promoting, disseminating, coordinating, facilitating and monitoring private investment and reinvestment, both domestic and foreign, promoting studies on investment conditions and business environment in Cape Verde, proposing appropriate measures and also conducting studies on foreign markets to identify investment and export opportunities.
They are in charge of advertising and promoting the opportunities and advantages of investment in the different sectors and islands of Cape Verde.
Besides opening a channel for permanent institutional dialogue with Cape Verde TradeInvest, the Strategic Partnership Agreement allows each party to the agreement to propose to each other concrete actions and projects of mutual interest.
The first joint project will be the provision of a Guide to the Regulatory Framework for Investing in Cape Verde.
In the framework of the partnership relationship created, we will be invited to participate in the event called Cabo Verde Investment Forum, which will take place on Ilha do Sal in June 2022.
